Overview

Many of the Fanuc i series controls offer the ability to communicate over standard Ethernet using FOCAS2 drivers. (FANUC Open CNC API Specification version 2)

Utilizing the FOCAS2 capabilities information such as equipment status, part counts, overrides, and alarm information can be obtained without adding any hardware or software to the control.

In order for DataXchange to communicate with a Fanuc control, the control must be correctly configured. A detailed explanation of configuring the control can be found here.
