Failure to do so may result in loss of communication with the DX Service. This tutorial does not cover firewall settings to allow connections on the new port. The basic steps of this tutorial can be broken down into three primary categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use the DX Service Setting to change the port that service is operating on.<\/li><li>Restart the service using the <strong>restart<\/strong> button in the upper right of the ribbon.<\/li><li>Change the settings of the DataXchange Service under the <strong>Manage \u2192 DataXchange<\/strong> button on the ribbon.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>First ensure that you have the correct permissions to access the <strong>Manage<\/strong> and <strong>Communication<\/strong> as well as the <strong>DataXchange<\/strong> and <strong>DX Service<\/strong> tabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Log into DataXchange using an account that has the correct permissions.<\/li><li>Once logged in click on the DataXchange tab.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"238\" height=\"190\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image1946384706.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-678\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\"><li>Connect to the service that you would like to update the operating port on.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"128\" height=\"96\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/connectToService.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-681\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\"><li>Once you have connected to the service click on the flag button named&nbsp;<strong>Service<\/strong>. (The flag may be Red or Green)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"166\" height=\"86\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/modifydxservice.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1190\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li>Once the DX Service Setting screen has opened expand the Advanced Settings section. The default port is 80 but it can be changed to operate on the port of your choice as long as it is not already being used.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"495\" height=\"103\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dxserviceport.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dxserviceport.png 495w, https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/dxserviceport-300x62.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\"><li>Update the port and Restart the service. You can do this by using the Restart button under DX Settings in the ribbon.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"165\" height=\"84\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/restartdxservice.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1188\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\"><li>Now you need to update the service port under the <strong>Manage<\/strong> tab <strong>\u2192 DX Service<\/strong>.<ol><li>Find the name of the machine or IP of the DataXchange service is installed on.<\/li><li>Select the service then hit the\u00a0<strong>modify<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"573\" height=\"457\" src=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image1416979809.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-685\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image1416979809.jpg 573w, https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/image1416979809-300x239.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\"><li>Modify the service port number to the same port number you configured above.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\"><li>Go to the DataXchange tab and connect to the modified service.
