{"id":378,"date":"2020-05-01T21:20:24","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T21:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dxhelpdev.wpengine.com\/?post_type=epkb_post_type_1&#038;p=378"},"modified":"2025-11-05T19:55:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T19:55:41","slug":"alarm-pareto-chart","status":"publish","type":"epkb_post_type_1","link":"https:\/\/dxhelp.scytec.com\/?epkb_post_type_1=alarm-pareto-chart","title":{"rendered":"Alarm Data Charts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Data \u2192 Alarm Pareto Chart<\/strong> and <strong>Alarm Detail Chart<\/strong> display data collected from the alarm codes recorded by machines that have a Focas or MTConnect back end.&nbsp;This feature takes advantage of the Alarms generated by the machines and records that information within the database. So for instance, if there are two alarm codes being generated at that time DataXchange will record both of them.&nbsp;This data can then be used to detail out which alarms are happening and the time stamp associated with the alarm event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"alarmparetochart\">Alarm Pareto Chart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Alarm Pareto Chart<\/strong> displays data collected from the alarm codes in a Pareto format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filter Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the Filter information is required to run the chart. The data can be filtered down by <strong>Data<\/strong>, <strong>Time<\/strong>, <strong>Shift<\/strong> and <strong>Equipment<\/strong>. It is possible to display the data in two different ways. The default is <strong>By Time<\/strong> which will display the values in time and have the total occurrences listed on the top of each bar. <strong>By Occurrence<\/strong> will display occurrences and have the time listed on the top of each bar. Once these selections are made, click the&nbsp;<strong>Finish<\/strong>&nbsp;button to generate the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"alarmdetailchart\">Alarm Detail Chart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Alarm Detail Chart<\/strong>&nbsp;displays alarm activity on a per instance basis. The chart displays the date and time of the occurrence on the horizontal X-axis and the duration on the vertical Y-axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filter Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the information on the Filter is required to run the chart. The data can be filtered down by <strong>Data<\/strong>, <strong>Time<\/strong>, <strong>Shift<\/strong> and <strong>Equipment<\/strong>. Once these selections are made, the <strong>Finish<\/strong> and <strong>Next<\/strong> buttons become available. Click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to generate the report immediately, or <strong>Next<\/strong> to specify additional information.
