Restarting the DataXchange Service
Overview
Sometimes the DataXchange Service will experience problems collecting data. Any time data is not being collected properly the first step to resolve the issue is to restart the DX Service. This can be accomplished a few ways.
Restarting the service from the Application
- Login to DataXchange as a user with permissions to access the DataXchange tab.
- Go to the DataXchange tab.
- Click the Restart button and select the service that needs restarting.
This should cause the DataXchange Service to restart itself within the next 5 minutes.
Restarting the service from the Server
If you have Administrator access to the DataXchange Server, you can restart the service directly from there.
- Once logged in as an Administrator, press Windows Key + R to open the Run box.
- Type “services.msc” and press enter.
- Find “Scytec DataXchange PCS Service” in the list of services.
- Click “Restart” on the left side of the window.
